Since planting our first strawberries back in 1993, our goal has always been simple: to grow delicious, high-quality berries and share them with our community. We’re proud to welcome you to our little slice of paradise, where family, freshness, and friendly faces are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you’re here to pick up berries, enjoy a real fruit ice cream, or just learn a bit about orchard life - we hope you feel right at home.

Bringing a little berry joy from Piopio
Open daily from late October to late April, Piopio Berry Orchard offers delicious freshly picked and locally grown strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries.
Visit us, pick up some delicious berries and sample our tasty ice cream and coffee.
Open daily: 9.00am to 6.00pm
Keep the taste of summer alive - our frozen berries are available with prior arrangement all year with EFTPOS for easy pickup!
About us
Tucked in the rolling hills of the King Country, Piopio Berry Orchard is a family-run farm where fresh berries and local pride grow side by side. For years, our family, with the help of our amazing local team, has been planting, picking, and sharing the best of what Piopio has to offer.
We believe freshness makes all the difference. That’s why our berries are hand-picked at their sweetest, and sold straight from our orchard to your table.
We love seeing families (and their furry friends!) enjoy the orchard. There’s a designated area where dogs are welcome to stretch their legs, but please remember to keep them on a lead while visiting.
Whether you’re a neighbour stopping by for a real fruit ice cream or a traveller discovering Piopio for the first time, we look forward to seeing you soon.

Visiting us
We would love to see you at the Orchard.
We are open daily 9.00am to 6.00pm from Labour Weekend, until April.
Not only is our store packed full of delicious berries, we also sell berry ice creams, coffee, berry smoothies, jam and homemade berry muffins.
With berry ice cream for the kids, coffee for the grown-ups, plenty of parking and grass for the dogs – Piopio Berry Orchard is the perfect place for a pit stop.
